Do a prayer walk
Prayer walk with some friends. Pray for the issues that affect your community.
It’s easy to miss the need that’s sitting on our front doorstep, so investing in our local community is a really important part of building a rhythm of connection. Try planning a simple route before you go on your prayer walk to make sure you don’t get distracted on the way! If you’re stuck for ideas on what to pray for, check out your local council or area’s website for things going on in your community.
You could also use a local newspaper as a source of inspiration. But remember that prayer is a conversation, not a shopping list. Spend some of your walk listening deeply and asking God to open your eyes to needs you might never have seen before and to ways that you can respond, both in prayer and in practical ways.
